Totoro, Maneki Neko, Arale, the Cheshire Cat, and Purple Tentacle
One saturday afternoon my boyfriend and I have bought some argile for fun, and I decided to create little stylized figures, like the "POP" figures I have seen in geek stores... and I really had fun making this collection of nine geek and kawaii scupltures (three series of three figures).
Totoro argile figures (Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto)
Totoro is a Japanese icon created by Hayao Miyazaki under the aegis of Studio Ghibli in 1988. Symbol of emblematic kawaii in today's Japan, it was originally a rural creature, closed to nature and bubbling with friendship. A mix between tradition and modernity, which is omnipresent in Japan.
