One saturday afternoon my boyfriend and I have bought some argile for fun, and I decided to create little stylized figures, like the "POP" figures I have seen in geek stores... and I really had fun making this collection of nine geek and kawaii scupltures (three series of three figures).

Totoro is a Japanese icon created by Hayao Miyazaki under the aegis of Studio Ghibli in 1988. Symbol of emblematic kawaii in today's Japan, it was originally a rural creature, closed to nature and bubbling with friendship. A mix between tradition and modernity, which is omnipresent in Japan.

Maneki Neko are little lucky charm cat statues, raising a paw, that you can find everywhere in Japan.

Arale Norimaki is a charcater from the funny manga "Dr Slump" by Akira Toriyama. This little girl is in fact a robot created by Senbei Norimaki, an inventor living in the Penguin Village...

The Cheshire Cat is one of the strange creature from the novel "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. He is known for his big and scary smile.

Purple Tentacle is a machiavelic character from the videogame "Day of the Tentacle" developed by LucasArts in 1993, a sequel to "Maniac Mansion" in 1987. After drinking some polluted river water, arms are growing out from his body and he decided to conqueer the world and enslave humans.
