Inspired by trendy double exposition in photography, I too wanted to work on different layers, and play with contrasts or suggest sensations. Each one of the following artworks includes a drawn sheet of paper, with a superimposed papercut.

The abstract background is a disordered mix of colours inspired by the sparkling light on seaside water. The cutting out of long rectangles draws this pattern adding a movement that could symbolise the movement of the waves. Oil pastel and papercut ; 40*50 cm.

Here again we can see the pattern of the video game Tetris that inspired a canvas to me a few months ago. The same shape pattern is used for the drawing and the cut-out, but the superimposition is a little bit displaced which totally changes the rules of the game. Oil pastel and papercut ; 40*50 cm.
