Inspired by trendy double exposition in photography, I too wanted to work on different layers, and play with contrasts or suggest sensations. Each one of the following artworks includes a painted sheet of paper, with a superimposed papercut.

Shift

Shift - Acrylic and papercut

The principle of this artwork is simple: a coloured grid overlapped by a papercut grid, but with a shift from the first one. A voluntary shift which could upset some people with a weird sensation that the papers are not put together well, but I am myself satisfied. The "politically incorrect" effect reminds us that art creation obeys no rules. Acrylic and papercut ; 40*50 cm.
