Inspired by trendy double exposition in photography, I too wanted to work on different layers, and play with contrasts or suggest sensations. Each one of the following artworks includes a painted sheet of paper, with a superimposed papercut.

To an abstract painting with sweet and ethereal colours, appropriate to the watercolour technique, I associated a pattern of tangled circles, a kind of lace, some round and delicate shapes. The result looks quite decorative and seems very poetic, evoking a bunch of flowers or a cloud in the evening sky. Watercolour and papercut ; 40*50 cm.

This artwork evokes nature, a stylised and broken down nature thanks to the overlay of a pointillist and predominantly green watercolour with a papercut reminding simplified tree leaves.
